About Peggy

Peggy was a bright and beautiful nine-year-old girl who possessed a remarkable ability to unite people, including family, friends, and even unfamiliar individuals. Her laughter and love profoundly impacted all who encountered her.

Peggy navigated life with exceptional fortitude and elegance. Although she faced complex medical challenges, she never allowed them to define her existence. Her heart was a source of pure joy, and her spirit radiated the brightest light. She cherished butterflies, vibrant colors, and the company of those she held dearest.

In 2024, Peggy was granted a Make-A-Wish, which her twin brother, Emmit, chose: a wheelchair-accessible swing within a gazebo, providing a space for them to enjoy time together. This wish remains a touching symbol of her happiness and the affection she left behind.

Peggy taught us that regardless of one's affliction, grace is the most profound gift bestowed. Upon gaining her wings, she imparted her greatest lesson: that love has the power to transform even the most difficult moments into something beautiful.

Now, through Peggy’s Place Inc., her light continues to illuminate the world. Peggy’s spirit lives on in every family we assist, every child we honor, and every butterfly we observe.

Our Mission

Peggy’s Place Inc. operates as a nonprofit 501(c)3 foundation dedicated to providing essential financial assistance for funeral expenses to families of children with special needs or complex medical conditions during a profoundly challenging period.

We firmly believe that every child merits being honored with reverence, dignity, and compassion. By offering this financial aid, we stand in solidarity with families during their greatest moment of need, furnishing comfort, understanding, and hope. This allows the family sufficient time to grieve without the concomitant burden of debt.

Our mission is grounded in faith, sustained by the broader community, and guided by love—the same love that Peggy generously shared with all individuals she encountered.

To establish an enduring legacy of compassion, ensuring that no parent endures the burden of grief shadowed by financial obligation. We endeavor to cultivate a faith-driven network of support that uplifts families, celebrates the life of every child, and affirms that love persists, even amidst loss.

Through Peggy’s Place, we aspire to inspire others toward philanthropy, service, and the steadfast belief that healing and hope are attainable through a foundation of faith.

Approximately 31% of children are classified as having special needs or medically complex conditions. This represents a burgeoning, yet often unaddressed, crisis as these children are routinely denied life insurance coverage due to their medical complexities, thereby eliminating a crucial financial safety net for their families.
